NAC MH PAC

National Association of Consumers on Mental Health Planning
and Advisory Councils

Mission Statement

Twenty-two consumers representative of state mental health
advisory councils met in Crystal City, Virginia, on 6/13/94
and 6/14/94, and unanimously agreed to form a National
Association, the National Association of consumers on Mental
Health Planning & Advisory Councils, or, "NAC MH PAC".  The
NAC MH PAC consists of all consumers serving on mental
health planning councils in all 56 states and territories.

Our purposes, as we together constructed:

*    support one another
*    become a conduit for information and exploration into
     alternatives
*    facilitate networking
*    strengthen our voices and elevate our status and
     influence at federal, state, and local levels.
