Mentor Grant Highlights 

The Mentor Grant was prepared for the consideration by the Mental Health Board of the City of St. Louis.  The level of knowledge about self-help was limited and knowledge about the consumer/survivor/ex-patient movement was almost non-existent.  Out of a membership of 15 persons five were identified as "consumers".

The Grant has the following sections:

*an environmental scan or community overview of prevalence, need, and current resources

*Listing of community supporters of the grant and promises of in-kind assistance and other resources committed to the grant

*Program description including outcomes for each component

*Detailed marketing plan

*Overview of staffing
